Texas Longhorn Beef

Grass-fed and raised on our pastures with no antibiotics and no hormones, this is beef you can feel great about.

Did you know that red meat can be included as part of a healthy diet?

Thanks to Texas Longhorns, today’s health-conscious consumer doesn’t have to avoid tender, juicy steaks.

Longhorn beef is leaner than other breeds and is lower in saturated fats.

Packed full of flavor, Longhorn beef has less cholesterol and calories than white meat. Including lean beef in a heart-healthy diet can positively impact blood cholesterol levels.

Studies have shown that eating lean beef can help increase ‘good’ cholesterol and reduce ‘bad’ cholesterol in people with elevated cholesterol levels.

Frequently Asked Questions

You’ve Got Questions, We’ve Got Answers

How many pounds of meat will my freezer hold?

A rule of thumb is one cubic foot of freezer space for every 35-40 pounds of cut and wrapped meat. Allow slightly more space when the meat is packaged in odd shapes.

How long can I keep my beef in the freezer?

Our beef is vacuum-sealed and individually wrapped. It can be stored in a freezer for up to two years. Most meat items can be safely stored for longer periods, but they lose some quality.

How can I get my Texas Longhorn Beef?

We offer two convenient ways to get your beef. You can come to pick it up from our Farm Store on Equine Alley on scenic Route 20 in Lafeyette, New York, or we will deliver in our local area directly from the ranch to you. Our beef comes vacuum-sealed frozen.

Does grass-fed beef actually taste better?

In short, YES. Grass-fed beef has a distinct and robust flavor. You can expect it to be juicier, and more flavorful. It is more tender and fulfilling than anything you will find in a grocery store.
